Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Starbound, a focus timer app provided by Kushrajsinh Jhala. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use Starbound.
Your account
You need an account to use Starbound. You are responsible for keeping access to it secure, and for what happens under it. Give accurate information when you sign up, and tell us if you believe someone else has gained access.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Starbound.
Acceptable use
Use Starbound for its intended purpose. Do not:
- Choose a nickname that is abusive, impersonates someone, or is otherwise offensive.
- Harass other users through the friends features.
- Falsify focus sessions, XP or Stardust, or otherwise manipulate rankings.
- Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.
- Probe, overload, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer the app except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
Your content
Your nickname, focus history and progress remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the service — to store that data, show it to you, and display the parts described in the Privacy Policy to friends you have added.
Virtual items
XP, Stardust, ranks, ships and suits exist only inside Starbound. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts. We may adjust how they are earned, priced or awarded as the app changes. If your account is deleted, they are deleted with it and cannot be restored.
Availability
We aim to keep Starbound running, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free. Features may change or be removed, and we may suspend the service for maintenance. Notifications depend on Apple's and Google's delivery systems and on your device settings, so we cannot guarantee that every notification arrives.
Ending your use
You can stop using Starbound and delete your account from inside the app at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or discontinue the service, with notice where reasonably practicable.
Disclaimer
Starbound is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. It is a productivity tool, not medical, psychological or professional advice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kushrajsinh Jhala is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill arising from your use of Starbound. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for Starbound. Apple has no obligation to provide support for it. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Starbound after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law rules.
